Why We Built This Site
Missouri gives the public access to many court and public records, but Shelby County records are split by office and record type. The Circuit Clerk handles court files for the Circuit Court and associate circuit matters. The County Clerk handles county administration and voter registration. The Recorder of Deeds handles marriage licenses and land records. The Sheriff is the local contact for custody and law-enforcement administrative records. State agencies such as Missouri DHSS, DOR, DOC, and MSHP hold separate statewide records.

- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
